Welcome to VibeCoding.games

Hi, I'm Morgan, and welcome to VibeCoding.games 👋
The idea behind this blog is simple - I'm incredibly excited about how vibe coding is enabling an entirely new generation of game developers, and I want to highlight all the awesome things people are building.
Games bring people joy. It's that simple. And they've been doing this long before video games but video games are now a massive industry, bigger than film and television combined.
The challenge has been, to build video games say, ten years ago, most people thought you needed to have a degree in video game design. More recently, Universities like MIT have released accelerated paths to becoming a game developer, but these still required 6+ months of work, 15-20 hours a week, and a $5000+ investment.

In early 2025, Levels built a game that quickly hit over $50,000 in MRR, and it did it all with vibe coding.

This was the tipping point for vibe coding games, and inspired an entirely new generation of game developers - people who want to build games, have creative ideas, and might know how to code...or might not.
The motto these days is "you can just do this," and this now applies to games. You can just build games, and it's all thanks to Vibe Coding.
I've been playing video games since I was a kid, the first game I can remember playing is Where in the World is Carmen San Diego.

But my video gaming obsession really started with Doom from the legendary John Carmack and I credit John with creating what has become a true lifelong passion.

As a kid I started playing around with making games, originally in Basic, and then later on in C, then C++, and then once Unity got on my radar, with it and C#. When I lived in San Francisco I used to go to GDC every year, not because I was building a game, but because I loved to talk to game developers and hear about the games they were building.
I spent most of my time in the indie games hall going booth-to-booth trying out games and hearing more about the inspiration behind the games from the developers themselves.
I know that video games bring people joy, and I see something truly incredible happening now thanks to vibe coding. Now anyone can be a game developer and that means that more people than ever before can build things that bring people joy, and I think that's absolutely wonderful.
So I started VibeCoding.games on this fine Saturday morning in March of 2025 to cover all the wild and wonderful games that people are building. My goal with this blog is simple - help more people discover all the great games people are building.
Today is day one, this is post one, here's to the journey ahead, thanks for reading, now keep calm and vibe code on 🧘♂️
